Chicagoist - The Style Network was in Green Bay this weekend recruiting for a new reality series based on Packers fans. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, producers have not said how many people they’ll be casting, but they plan to film the pilot before the end of the year. About 80 people showed up to the casting call at a Green Bay bar to show off their green and gold. Casting associate Kjerstin Johnson told the Press-Gazette that the fans they’re looking for are “the loudest, most energetic and passionate with the best traditions.” “Wisconsin in general has great people and it’s an area that hasn’t been shown to all of America yet on television,” Johnson told the Press-Gazette. “We find it fascinating, and think the personalities are great, and want to catalog it a bit.”
Good call by Style Network here. Because when I think of the word “style” I think of Lambeau Libres, fat women in bikini t-shirts and elderly men dressed up like 6 year olds in yellow pants about 2 plates of nachos away from a heart attack. Like did you read this quote from the casting associate, “Wisconsin in general has great people and it’s an area that hasn’t been shown to all of America… We find it fascinating, and think the personalities are great” Translation: “Are there any fucking hot people in this town that want to be on TV? Anyone at all besides these creatures? In the entire state? Do we have to re-do this thing in Madison with a handful of bros and smokeshows who’ll do crazy shit to be on TV?” Swing and a miss Style Network.
PS – Is that a handicapped Asian hipster in that last picture? Bro you lost or something?
