Gizmodo - John McAfee may still be on the run from authorities in Belize—despite claiming that he is innocent in the murder of his neighbor, Gregory Faull—but he still has enough free time to post to a private message board asking for information about how phone tracking works.

At just before 10PM last night, McAfee posted this message using his “stuffmonger” alias:

How long does it take for a phone company to triangulate a cell phone signal? With what accuracy? Is there any way to confuse/delay the system? If a cell phone is turned off, but the battery is installed, is there any way to locate the phone? Are there any brands of phones are more/less difficult to triangulate ?

Hey whose John McAfee’s cell phone provider? Whoever it is they need their PR people drawing up an ad campaign pronto. Guy’s been e-mailing back and forth, writing essays, popping in and out of message boards asking how to escape federales 24/7 since he murdered that dude. And that was like a week ago. All while hiding in some 3rd world country. Meanwhile I still have dead zones in my apartment and I live in a fucking metropolis. Samsung you’re killing me kid.

PS – What the fuck is McAfee doing posting to message boards still? Bro you’re a murderer on the run. Start acting like it. Take off the “Computer Nerd” cap, put on your big boy shoes and go raise some hell.

PPS – Guarantee McAfee rolls with a case on his phone. It’s the right play in this situation. The smart move.
