ESPN - Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas said Tuesday the debate over whether LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan hinges on a few things, but as far as who is the better athlete, Thomas said it’s probably James. “They’re both great players, and they’re both great in their eras,” Thomas said on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. “In my era, we hadn’t seen an athlete quite like Michael Jordan. He jumped higher than everyone else. He was a little faster than everyone else and he was just the best athlete. “LeBron James is the best athlete of today, and he’s probably a better athlete than Michael Jordan was. He’s bigger, he’s faster, he’s stronger.”

 

Woah, did you guys hear that? Isiah Thomas thinks LeBron is a better athlete than MJ. OH SHIT, right? I mean it’s almost as if LeBron is a 6’8″, 250 pound freak of nature whose bigger, stronger and faster than literally anyone on the planet who could have dominated any sport he wanted to. What an outrageous thing for him to say, huh? Oh man I can’t wait for Skip Bayless to start screaming about this later on First Take and for Stephen A. Smith to call him a racist. Gonna be some fireworks.

Listen, LeBron James is a better athlete than Michael Jordan. He’s a better athlete than fucking everyone. He’s an absolutely absurd human being. But that means absolutely nothing and I have no idea why anybody cares that Isiah said it. It’s like the media is getting so caught up in this stupid MJ-LeBron comparison that they’re just asking questions that have nothing to do with basketball anymore. Who’s the better all around athlete? Could LeBron play AA baseball and hit above .202? Who could eat the most BBQ spare ribs in one sitting? Who can cum the furthest after 3 days of no jacking off? It’s all so fucking stupid. The only question that truly matters is, If LeBron James retired today, would he be considered better than Michael? And the answer is 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, absolutely fucking not. He has a long, long way to go for people to even be having that discussion. Yes, he’s a monster. Yes, he’s one of the most amazing athletes, regardless of the sport, any of us will ever see. Yes, he’s doing things nobody has ever done. But so did Michael times infinity. And bottom line is Michael is the better basketball player by a landslide at this point. And that’ll be the case indefinitely until LeBron can make winning a habit the same way 23 did. Period, the end. The talking head back and forth “debate” about this is pure lunacy.
