Hockey Brawl Breaks Out; Announcer Automatically Cues Up “Party In The USA”
Would love to get into the guy’s head who cued up fucking “Party In The USA” when he saw a hockey brawl break out in the middle of his rink. Quite possibly the absolute last song on the planet that should accompany that situation. That’s like playing “Life Is A Highway” at funeral dude. Just doesn’t fit the mood whatsoever.
I will say it’s nice to see a good old fashioned hockey brawl again with goalies mixing it up and shit. I’ve long said that if the NHL falls out of favor the SIJHL would be right there waiting in the wings to tear up the ratings game and scoop up all those fans. Judging by the 14 people in the crowd there eating it up I think it’s pretty safe to say I nailed that.
