Does This Look Like The Face Of A Guy From Aurora Who Assaulted A Woman He Met On An Online Dating Website In A Motel?
Chicago Tribune - Aurora police have charged a man with the sexual assault of a woman he met on a dating wesbite and are looking for possible additional victims. Derrick D. Chaney, 37, of the 3300 block of Allspice Court, Aurora, was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of unlawful restraint and kidnapping, police said in a news release. Chaney, who is being held at the Kane County Correctional Center, was ordered held on $500,000 bond.
The charges stem from a Jan. 14 attack on a 31-year-old Iowa woman at a motel in the 2300 block of North Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora, police said. Police believe Chaney met the woman on a dating website and after several weeks of correspondence over the phone and Internet, the two met at the hotel. The woman told police he held her against her will and sexually assaulted her, the release said.
The investigation revealed that Chaney may have met other women through other websites and by frequenting nightclubs in the northwest suburbs, the release said. Chaney has been known to use a false name and lie about his occupation, financial status and education, police said. Chaney, who drives several luxury vehicles, is well dressed and brags about having VIP status at clubs, police said.
Not to let this guy off the hook or anything but meeting someone in a motel room after talking to them online didn’t set off any alarms for this broad? This guy is ranting and raving about all the luxury cars he drives and his VIP status but he asks to meet you in the same place where meth head hookers inject speed balls and blow truckers and nothing seemed suspicious about that? Geez Louise. Talk about going after the lowest common denominator. If any people are running around society right now that are dumber than this chick we are fucked as a civilization. Or raped? I can’t decide which one is more appropriate given the circumstances. Either way just not a good look for America or just functioning human beings in general.
